Earlier this month I posted pictures of the Road Runner that showed up in our back yard. That was only the second time that I’ve seen a road runner in the neighborhood in the fifteen months we have lived here. And in just the last two days, I’ve seen a road runner twice more right in our front yard. This one (I’m assuming it’s the same on each day) stuck around a lot longer than the previous two sightings.
Each evening Bill and I go walking either before or after supper and I usually take my camera along. Tuesday night as we got to the sidewalk in front of our house, Bill said, “There’s a road runner.” And there was! Right next to our trimmed mimosa tree!
He stuck around there long enough for me to get a few shots and then he headed out onto the street and across to the neighbor’s yard.
All of these pictures have been edited for brightness edited, as it was quite late in the evening and the shadows were very dark. The road runner blends in quite well with the rocks and winter vegetation.
